Basically, I just hate women. They’re weird, bitchy, judgmental, and fucking psycho to say the least. I cannot exclude myself from this, as I am a female myself, but I like to think I would fit in with a group of men better. I’d prefer to have male friends. It would be easy. Have a bit of an argument, and by the next day it’s all ‘Hey bro’ *fist bump* ‘buddy’. Like nothing happened. THIS is why it is a man’s world. Women should stick to what they know. Cooking, cleaning and dressing children. Period.

Zen.
I find I’m fairly nonplussed about everything in my life. I mean, there is no point really, is there? To worry, to fight, to be surrounded in drama.
Life, as a child was pretty easy too, you ate, played, slept and went to the toilet. Everybody was friends, and nobody cared if the boy from down the street was a little strange, or if his parents kept a dirty house.
I have come to realise however, now that I’m getting older, that in fact, all that people seem to care about is getting all up in other people’s business. I thought, maybe, it was just a teenager thing, but since listening to conversations at work, and the older ladies talking, it doesn’t stop, and it’s just bitching and gossiping on the women’s behalf. You take one look at the men, and they’re still comparing sex stories from the weekend and telling tales of how much they’ve been drinking.
I don’t understand though, the purpose, if you could even call it that, of the gossip, the bickering, the bitching, and the idea of being nosy? Perhaps I am still very naive and I am yet to form a reason to participate in said ‘activities’, if you may, but I just don’t see the point.
Back when I was younger, I always remember, I was never loud around people, I kept to myself and life was smooth. Then all those hormones started filling my body, puberty hit and you know how teenagers are at that age.. well I was no exception, I found my voice box and I was going to be heard. I was involved in way too much drama at school, but that’s just the breeding ground for it all, one person says one thing, and by the time it’s gone through ten people the story has become worse by about ten times, though that’s not the point I’m trying to make. The fact of the matter is, I had countless amounts of fights, I lost friends, I gained friends, followed by losing a few more. As it tends to happen.
Anyway, I ended up finishing school and thinking, ‘Jeez. I’m glad to be out of that place. No drama, no fighting, no arguing, life is good.’ And until this day, I haven’t had a serious fight with someone, or been caught up with drama, but I can see I’m not about to get out of being around drama. I don’t necessarily need to be involved in it, thankfully, I’m far too lazy for that, but I know I’ll always hear about it. Which is silly.
Anyway, what got me into writing this post is my Mum. Yes, I still live with my parents – oh the joy! But putting that aside, it wasn’t her that directly gave me the idea, but just how she carried on. I’m eighteen in a week, I live at home, help to pay the bills, help with gardening, do the shitty jobs like washing the dishes, cleaning the cats tray and anything else that the decide needs to be done.
Tonight though, after dinner, I decided I’d lay down on my bed and text my boyfriend instead of doing the dishes straight away, and from outside my room I hear, ‘Get up and do the dishes now’, I respond with a simple, ‘yep’ and carry on texting, and what shocked me is what came next, from a (meant to be) mature, 48 year old woman…
My door was flung open and she begun to bellow, ‘GET UP NOW AND DO THOSE DISHES!’, again my reply was, ‘yep.’ but this time, with an added, ‘I was just about to get up and do them’ thrown on the end. ‘You’re always doing something other than what you’re supposed to, aren’t you!’ Came from the Mother’s mouth, ‘well this time the child card wasn’t played well enough’, I looked at her with the most confused face, ‘o…k…’
‘Did you really think that would work? I’m gunna pretend I didn’t hear Mummy. I’m going to do what I want. I’m going to misbehave.’ she questioned me, in a raised voice, which quickly turned into the tone of her mimicking a child, and as this change occurred she did this weird head bobble thing and stormed out of the room.
Never have I been so shocked in the entirety of my life, to see a grown woman do something as that. I didn’t know how to react. Her having a go at me wasn’t about to bother me however, no retaliation was necessary, instead, I said to myself, in my head, ‘okay’ and went about doing the dishes.
The old me, the young teenager me, would have gone off, but eh, there is no point. Instead, it’s easier to hold my tongue and let it all go. Why fight, when you can have peace?
